'The long and short of it: This pressure and temperature balanced 14 Series Monitor Shower Control is a fully functioning Shower Faucet without the showerhead. It includes the Single Handle to turn the Shower (on/off) along with the Rough-in Valve which installs in the wall. This fixture mixes the water from your hot and cold water lines in the wall and sends out a stream of warm water to a shower spray outlet of your choice. The single handle allows you to control the temperature of water output by the valve. This item will work with any brand of showerhead when plumbed correctly inside the wall. It can also work as the control for a tub and shower combination, provided you have a tub spout with diverter. PLEASE NOTE: You must install the included rough-in valve to use this fixture. This item is intended for use in new construction and full bathroom renovations where you plan to change the valve in the wall. It WILL NOT be suitable for most retrofit projects! Buy this item if: You need a way to control a shower head, handheld shower, or even ceiling mount shower head. This fixture will also allow you to add a tub spout (as long as it has its own diverter) to create a tub/shower combo if desired.'
